Choose technique and effect separately
With eyelash extensions, two things determine the result: the technique and the desired effect. We first assess what your natural lashes can safely support, then choose the length, curl and density.
Classic 1:1 means one extension is attached to each suitable natural lash. With 5D, a fan of five very fine fibres is applied. The right technique depends not only on your preferred look but also on the length and strength of your natural lashes.
Natural, Mascara and Volume describe the visible effect. Natural is subtle, Mascara is more clearly defined, and Volume adds greater density. Before a new set, we decide together which level suits your daily life and your eyes.
If you do not want added fibres but would like more curl in your natural lashes, a lash lift is the alternative. It does not require infill appointments.

Three steps, clearly explained
01Assess your wishes and natural lashes
We discuss your preferred effect and assess the length, density and strength of your natural lashes. We then choose the technique, curl and length.
02Isolate and attach
The lower lashes are protected. We then isolate suitable natural lashes individually and attach the selected extension or fine fan.
03Check and explain aftercare
Finally, we check the placement and separation, brush through the set and explain the aftercare for the adhesive used.

What you may want to know
What is the difference between 1:1 and 5D?
With 1:1, one extension is applied to each suitable natural lash. With 5D, a fan of five very fine fibres is used. The appropriate option depends not only on the density you want; the length and strength of your natural lashes also matter.
How often should I book an infill?
Many clients return after two to three weeks. The right interval depends on your natural lash cycle, your aftercare and how full you want the set to remain. If too much has already grown out, a new set may be more appropriate than an infill.
Can you infill a set from another salon?
No. We infill only sets applied at Beauty Rocío because we cannot reliably assess the adhesive, weight and technique used elsewhere. The old set can be removed for CHF 35, after which we can plan a new set.
Can extensions affect the natural lashes?
Excessive length or weight, or lashes that have not been separated correctly, can strain natural lashes. We therefore tailor the set to your starting point and isolate each lash. This cannot completely rule out irritation or an allergic reaction.
What matters if my eyes are sensitive or irritated?
We postpone the appointment if an eye is acutely irritated or inflamed. Tell us when enquiring about known reactions to lash adhesive, recent eye surgery or any other concerns; discuss medical questions with a qualified healthcare professional first.
How should I prepare for the appointment?
If possible, arrive without mascara or oil-based eye makeup. Remove contact lenses before the treatment because your eyes remain closed for an extended period. Allow the time shown in the price list for a new set.
How do I care for the extensions at home?
Brush the set gently and avoid rubbing or pulling. We explain the precise aftercare and immediate post-treatment rules according to the adhesive used. Do not attempt to remove individual extensions yourself.
Lash lift or eyelash extensions?
Extensions add length and density and require regular infills. A lash lift shapes only your natural lashes and grows out without infills. If your natural lashes are already dense and mainly grow downwards, a lift may be enough.
