Cosmetic tooth treatments
Tooth gems in Lucerne
A small crystal is attached to the tooth surface as a purely cosmetic accent. There is no drilling, filing or grinding, and the jewellery can later be removed professionally. This is not dental or medical treatment. CHF 100.

Where can you have a tooth gem applied?
At Beauty Rocío in Lucerne, you can have tooth crystals and tooth gems applied as a purely cosmetic accent. We mean jewellery on the tooth surface; we do not remove tartar, which belongs in a dental practice or with a dental hygienist.
We offer two options: the classic tooth crystal in clear or a colour, and the Twinkle, a flat motif in gold or white gold. Both cost the same and are applied during the same appointment.
The jewellery is most often placed on an upper lateral incisor because it catches the light when you smile and remains visually still while speaking. We first hold up a mirror and place the gem loosely so you can see the position before anything is fixed.
There is no drilling or anaesthetic. We also do not file, grind or polish the tooth: Rocío Furger is a beautician, and anything that alters enamel belongs in a dental practice. We work only on the surface using cotton, a brush and tweezers.
You may feel the cool adhesive and later a slight raised area with your tongue. Pain or persistent discomfort also belongs in a dental practice.
The tooth gems and whitening overview compares tooth jewellery and cosmetic teeth whitening, including prices and the clear boundary from dental care. This page focuses on motif, position, application and care.

What to expect
Four steps, no surprises
01Choose
You see the actual crystals and motifs and choose the tooth. We show you the position in the mirror before beginning.
02Clean and keep dry
The tooth is cleaned with cotton, kept dry and coated with bonding agent. Nothing is filed, ground or polished, and the enamel remains intact.
03Apply
The gem is placed on the adhesive and cured with a light. This is the actual application and takes only a few moments.
04Check and care
We check the edges so nothing presses and explain what to observe during the first hour and when brushing your teeth.
Frequently asked questions
What you may want to know
Is the tooth drilled?
No. The gem is applied to the surface rather than set into the tooth. Nothing is drilled, filed or ground. If you no longer want the jewellery, have it removed and the area polished by a dental practice or dental hygienist; that is not a cosmetic service and we do not perform it ourselves.
Is the tooth filed or polished first?
No. Rocío Furger is a beautician and works only on the tooth surface: clean, keep dry, apply bonding agent, position the gem and cure it. Filing, grinding and polishing alter enamel and belong in a dental practice or with a dental hygienist.
How long does tooth jewellery last?
From several months to several years. The exact duration depends on the position in the mouth and your habits. Biting hard foods or repeatedly playing with it using your tongue can loosen it sooner. If it comes off, visit us so we can look at the area.
Does application hurt?
Cosmetic application involves no drilling or anaesthetic. You hold your mouth open while the surface is prepared and the gem positioned. Report pain or persistent discomfort; this is not treated cosmetically and requires dental assessment.
Can a tooth gem harm the tooth or gum?
We do not drill, file or grind the tooth for the jewellery. Care around the gem and professional removal matter so that the surface is not unnecessarily stressed. Pain, damage or gum problems belong in a dental practice.
Can I eat and brush normally?
Yes, without restriction from the next day. Do not eat or drink during the first hour. Then brush as usual with a soft brush and no pressure on the gem. Electric toothbrushes are not a problem.
Can I combine tooth gems with whitening?
Any desired whitening is generally planned before positioning the jewellery. We clarify whether and when both can be combined before the appointment. More about the purely cosmetic service is available on the cosmetic teeth whitening page.
