Permanent makeup eyebrows in Lucerne
Machine hair strokes, one stroke at a time. The shape is drawn first and pigment is applied only after you have approved it in the mirror. Both sessions and the follow-up within eight weeks are included in the CHF 700 price. Rocío Furger performs the treatment herself and has worked as a PMU stylist since 2011.
Individual hair strokes, not a solid block
We place individual hair strokes in the direction of growth rather than filling the whole area. Each stroke begins more strongly at the base and tapers towards the tip, like a real hair. From half a metre away, you see brows, not lines.
We mix the colour one shade lighter than you expect. Every freshly pigmented brow looks darker than it will after healing, and the result loses some intensity after about two weeks. If the desired shade is already visible on the first day, it has been applied too dark.
Before the first stroke, we draw the shape with a pencil, measure it against your face and discuss it with you in the mirror. You approve it or we draw it again. This takes ten minutes and prevents surprises later.
We do not offer microblading. Microblading uses a handheld blade to make incisions; it removes skin, and the strokes can spread over time on dehydrated or mature skin. Instead, we use a machine and a fine needle: consistent depth, a controlled amount of pigment and no blade cut. Clients who previously chose a blade can work towards the same visual goal with us using a different technique. For an overview of all areas, see permanent makeup.

What to expect
Four steps, none of them rushed
01Consultation
45 minutes to discuss your skin type, medication, existing brows and how visible the result should be. It costs CHF 50, is a separate appointment and is credited towards the treatment.
02Draw and approve
The shape is measured against your face and drawn in pencil. You view it in the mirror. Only after you approve it do we mix the colour, one shade lighter than you expect.
03Create hair strokes
Stroke by stroke in the direction of growth, with numbing cream. We wipe the area and check the density together as we work. More can be added but not taken away, so we build up the result slowly.
04Healing and follow-up
You receive an ointment and ten-day instructions: do not scratch, and avoid sauna, solarium and exfoliation. After four to six weeks, we assess the healed result and refine areas that have faded unevenly.
Frequently asked questions
What you may want to know
Will it look obvious that I had them done?
This is the question we hear most often. Two things make the difference: technique and colour. Individual hair strokes replace a solid fill, and the colour is one shade lighter than you might imagine. People who do not know you see groomed brows. Those who do often say you look rested without identifying why.
Which method do you use, and how does it differ from blade techniques?
We work with a machine and a fine needle. We deliberately do not offer microblading with a handheld blade: the blade cuts into the skin, the depth is harder to control, and strokes on dry or mature skin often spread into a shadow after one to two years. The machine places pigment at a consistent depth. The visual goal is the same – individual hairs – but the method is different.
Can the brows be softer, with shading?
Yes. Hair strokes are our standard technique because they most closely resemble the natural brow. If you prefer a softer and more even result, we can add shading: instead of individual strokes, many fine dots build the area like a subtly applied brow pencil. The techniques can also be combined, with strokes for structure and shading for depth. We decide what suits your skin and natural brow growth during the consultation; the price is the same.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied before we begin and can be reapplied during the treatment if necessary. Most clients describe scratching rather than pain. The appointment lasts 180 minutes, a substantial part of which is spent drawing and discussing the shape.
How long does it last, and when is a refresh due?
Usually one to two years, depending on skin type, sun exposure and aftercare. Oilier skin fades faster, as does unprotected sun exposure. A refresh costs CHF 350 and takes 90 minutes. If the pigment has disappeared completely, it is no longer a refresh and is charged as an initial treatment.
What will I look like in the days afterwards?
From day one to three, the brows look darker and the edges sharper than the final result. Fine flaking then develops and comes away on its own. From day ten, you can see what remains. Do not schedule an important event in the first week; working and going out are normally possible.
What if I do not like the shape?
This is why we draw it first. While there is only pencil on the skin, we can adjust it as often as needed without time pressure. Pigment is applied only after your approval. We also prefer to add too little rather than too much: more can be added at the four-to-six-week appointment, while removing pigment is much harder.
