Learn with Rocío
Beauty courses and training in Lucerne
Four courses at Rocío Furger’s own salon on Zürichstrasse, all personally taught by her. The salon opened here in October 2006.

Learn from someone who still treats clients
Rocío Furger personally teaches every course. There are no rotating instructors and no second-hand curriculum. She demonstrates methods she uses in her current treatment practice.
Her own training took place in Switzerland, Italy and Germany: three countries with three approaches. The courses therefore teach not only a procedure, but why it is performed that way.
Teaching takes place at the salon on Zürichstrasse, in small groups or one-to-one. You work with the same equipment and products used there every day.
This is a small beauty school, not a large institution. You have one contact person, dates are agreed individually and part-time study is possible. You can still ask questions after the final course day.

Four steps, from interest to diploma
01Request information
Tell us which course interests you. You receive content, duration and possible dates by email; prices are already listed here.
02Brief discussion
In twenty minutes, by telephone or at the salon, we assess without obligation whether the course fits your goal.
03Agree dates
We set course days together, including evenings or Saturdays. A course begins once the group is formed; there is no semester to wait for.
04Assessment and completion
The course ends with a practical assessment and the salon-issued diploma. You can ask questions if you get stuck afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
What you may want to know
How much do the courses cost?
The beautician course costs CHF 6900. The gel nail course costs CHF 1600 in a group or CHF 2400 privately. The three makeup courses cost CHF 280, CHF 350 and CHF 400. PMU stylist training costs from CHF 3590. All course fees exclude VAT.
Do I need prior experience?
Not for the beautician course or Basic makeup. Practice helps for the gel nail course but is not required. PMU stylist training requires basic cosmetic training because it involves working in the skin.
Can I attend alongside my job?
Yes. Most participants work, so course days are often evenings or Saturdays. We agree dates in advance so you can plan them.
Will I receive a diploma?
Yes, a diploma from Cosmetic Institute Beauty Rocío listing the content and hours completed. It is not a Swiss federal professional qualification. If that is your goal, mention it so we can explain how the course fits and where it does not.
Which language is used?
German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or English. Rocío speaks all five. One-to-one teaching follows your language; groups follow the majority.
Can I work independently after the course?
The course teaches the craft, not the permit. Requirements for your own business depend on the canton and treatment. We explain which authority in Lucerne to contact and what to ask.
