Beautician course with internship
Diploma course in Lucerne with an internship during normal salon operations. You learn theory in the classroom and then assist with real appointments alongside Rocío Furger, who still treats clients herself. Her salon opened on Zürichstrasse in October 2006.
Learn where clients are treated
Training covers what a beautician needs in everyday work: skin structure and analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, manual extraction, facial massage, masks and active ingredients, brows and lashes, waxing, hygiene, documentation and consultations before and after treatment. Every block includes theory and model practice.
How much does beautician training cost?
The course with internship costs CHF 6900 excluding VAT. This is the published fixed price. Course information also lists dates, time commitment and everything included.
The internship begins once the basic techniques are secure. You first observe real appointments, then take over individual steps and later the whole treatment, always with Rocío Furger in the room. Every client knows beforehand that a trainee is involved. We review what went well and what needs to change after each appointment.
Rocío Furger teaches personally, with no rotating instructors. Her Swiss beautician diploma dates from 2001, with further training in Italy and Germany. Teaching is in German and, where needed, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or English. Groups remain small so every participant works during every course day.
This is not a weekend course. You must practise, document cases and study theory between blocks, and the internship takes place during salon opening hours. If you cannot currently make that commitment, a shorter specialist course may fit better. See all courses.

You assist with real salon appointments, then complete a practical and written assessment and receive a Beauty Rocío diploma.

What you may want to know
Do I need prior experience?
No. Training begins with skin structure and requires no previous cosmetic education. You need steady hands, patience and a willingness to practise between blocks. Many participants are changing careers.
Can I combine this with a job?
Teaching is organised in blocks and can fit alongside part-time work. The internship is harder to combine because it takes place during opening hours when clients attend. Full-time workers need free days. Tell us your situation so we can plan realistically.
What qualification do I receive?
You receive a Beauty Rocío diploma listing completed modules and internship hours. The Swiss federal professional certificate for beauticians is a separate route involving a federal vocational qualification and professional experience; the higher professional examination leads to a federal diploma. Will I treat real clients during the internship?
Yes. You begin by assisting, then perform individual steps and finally complete treatments. Rocío Furger is always in the room and intervenes before anything goes wrong. Clients are informed and consent beforehand.
How many participants are in a group?
Groups remain deliberately small so everyone performs work and receives correction on every course day. Courses therefore start in fixed date windows rather than continuously. Request the information to see the next available dates.
